We know it can be overwhelming and discouraging trying to figure out how to start a yoga practice. That’s why the Beginner’s Series course makes learning yoga fun and accessible.
Our approach gives you clear step-by-step guidance so that you can finally call yourself a yogi. More importantly, you’ll find the relaxation and ease in yourself that has made yoga so popular for thousands of years.
"I feel so lucky to have been given the opportunity to take the Beginner's Series Workshop.
My enjoyment of yoga quadrupled after that workshop. It's amazing how much more fun yoga has become just from learning a couple of basics." Rita Eames
Yoga is more than just exercise. It’s a way to nurture your mental, physical and emotional being.
Can you learn yoga another way?
Yes. You can try random online videos–which give you random results. You can spend many years and thousands of dollars on in-person classes trying to figure out what yoga is about. And ultimately give up in frustration–still stressed, tense, and anxious.
There is a better way.
When the world feels out of control and you feel disconnected from yourself and others, yoga gives you a way to take care of yourself and feel positive and excited about life.
I started practicing yoga in 1995. Since 2005 I’ve taught tens of thousands of people brand new to yoga how to start, thrive, and be successful with yoga.
As the Founder of One Flow Yoga®, an award-winning yoga studio in Sacramento, I've seen firsthand the struggles and stumbles that can happen when learning yoga.
Too often, yoga is taught as sink or swim–you either get it or you don’t. I disagree with that approach and believe anyone can learn yoga with the right guidance.
So I went looking for a better method to teach yoga to beginners. Only it didn’t exist.
You see, most “beginner-friendly” yoga classes are watered-down versions of a “regular” yoga class. But beginners are different and need a different kind of class.
So I started experimenting with how to make yoga more accessible and fun. It had to teach the fundamentals and empower people to make the changes that work best for their bodies.
And it worked
The Beginner’s Series course is the direct result of over fifteen years of refinement and learning.
With our method, everyone from people coming back from a break to those who never thought they could learn yoga not only progress faster, they have a lot more fun doing it.
This unique way of teaching beginners is also part of the reason Yelp consistently ranks our studio as the region’s best.
You CAN and WILL learn yoga when you have a proven system, solid support, reliable information–and ENTHUSIASM–on your side.
The results speak for themselves…
Perhaps you’re a bit skeptical of yoga and wonder if it really can work. You may have even tried yoga a few times, but it never stuck.
We get it. In fact, it’s common to think that.
But if you take the next step, you may find you change your whole perspective.
Because it’s also common for people who join The Beginner’s Series to go on to practice yoga for years and tell us they plan to do it for the rest of their lives.
Why the change of heart? Because they finally understand what yoga is and how to do it safely and effectively.

The Beginner’s Series is a multi-module online course that provides a safe and supportive environment to learn the basics and understand what yoga is all about.
We break them down, show demonstrations and then give you an opportunity to practice them. We also teach you concepts you can use even if you come across a posture you’ve never seen before.
There are other ways to get this knowledge–but not at this price. We’ve distilled down decades of experimentation, knowledge and experience to give you the fastest and easiest way to learn yoga. However, you could try to cobble together useable on your own using books, videos and classes. Eight classes alone would cost you over $200.
To really understand it, you’d have to take a yoga teacher training, at a cost of over $3000, and months of work. And that doesn’t include the time it would take to put it into practice so you could figure out the most important parts to focus on.
We’ve taken all the guesswork and trial and error out, so you get exactly what you need to make progress fast.
The fastest, easiest way to learn yoga. This is the lowest price it will ever be.

We've based this price assuming you'll learn yoga on your own over the course of 1 year. This is overly conservative.
In reality, it would take you several years, and probably 10X as much. This also does not take into account the frustration, missteps, and cost of your time.

"I started just over 3 years ago in the beginner series. I now practice four days a week. The lessons I've learned on the mat have taught me to make better decisions off the mat, all learned with love and compassion."

"A few months ago I joined my friend for the Beginner's Series. They taught and broke down the most common yoga postures (and how to adjust them) and shared the deeper purpose of the practice. Even though I have dabbled in some type of yoga for the last 10 years, I learned a lot and enjoyed every class. So much so, that after the eight-class Beginner's Series, I signed up for a monthly membership!"
